Nate Nathan is an artist who lives and creates music in the small town of Murphys CA. He grew up in a musical family where gospel and jazz were the driving forces. His original music explores rich vocal melodies and catchy hooks while being submerged in heavy experimental textures. His love for heavy grooves and pop styled choruses is apparent. The voice is the epicenter of the compositions. The exploration of dark and light can be heard through the waves of his music as well as the lyrical content. Synth and folklore find a happy medium in these creations.

Grover was raised in the historic gold rush town of Murphys, CA. The rich culture of the area (along with lifelong immersion in fiction, theater and 90’s country music) instilled a storytelling nature that is evident in Grover’s writing. After extended stays in Santa Barbara, LA, and Oakland, Grover and his family returned to Murphys to reconnect with the small mountain atmosphere that provided such inspiration as a youth. Living in California’s vastly varying environments provided ample material for his three self-produced albums: Tourniquet (2011), The Optimist (2014), and From the Pink Room (2017), was named the #2 album of the year by music site Independent Clauses.
