Historical Brew Cruise
Saturday, August 25th
Join us for our first ever Historical Brew Cruise! We’ll board the sightseeing boat “The Dolphin” for a sunset cruise that includes dinner, and of course beer. We’ll navigate in and around Mare Island, with local celebrated historian Brendan Riley (author of numerous articles and books on Vallejo and Mare Island history) narrating for us the rich and colorful history of the area at various vantage points along the way. Learn about the historic dry docks (the first of their kind on the West Coast) that were quarried from Sierra granite and took 12 years to build. Visualize the massive Mare Island ammunition magazine explosion that broke windows all across Vallejo. Learn the colorful history of Lower Georgia street, described in Brendan’s books as "California’s forgotten Barbary coast”. Brendan will share with us all this and more as we cruise the waters around our home.
Your tickets include a 3-hour historical brew cruise, dinner (taco bar!) brought to you by our Chef Scotti, and of course, we'll supply the beer. Join us for a sunset on the water.
Yardbirds can purchase up to four tickets total. Limited amount available.
