Laura Weinbach and Anton Patzner of Bay Area indie art-pop group Foxtails Brigade, tapers down from her usual full-band arrangement to an intimate French-cafe jazz duo. Having toured Europe and the US, sharing stages with bands from the likes of Tune Yards, Bombino, Jane Birkin, Bright Eyes, The Faint and more, Weinbach brings a more hidden but equally engaging talent for elegant French chanson, Golden Era jazz standards and romantic original songs. Following the video release of her live performance of “La Vie En Rose” which has garnered an unexpected 12 million views and counting, Their version of the song has been licensed to a multitude of commercials and films including the 2017 movie Blind starring Alec Baldwin and Demi More. Weinbach made her first silver-screen cameo in Shiver as well. Since then, Laura & Anton, released their first official EP Live Recordings in April 2019, a collection of romantic French and jazz standards and a few originals performed completely live in the couple’s living room. The album showcases Laura & Anton in their purest form shining through with only the bare essentials - voice, guitar, and violin. The upright bass makes a modest but warm appearance on only a few of the songs. Along with the album, they released a series of live videos that capture the group during the recording of several of the songs off the record. In 2020 Laura & Anton released their original single "Castles In The Air" which charted at #36 on the top Spotify global jazz songs. Since then Laura & Anton have been working on a collection of home studio recordings. Release dates tba.
